The Cilegon
Police Department, Banten Regional Police, conducted a public awareness
campaign within the Cilegon Police jurisdiction, currently focusing on the Pulo
Ampel District, Serang Regency, on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

The campaign was
led by the Cilegon Police Intelligence Unit and conducted at several strategic
locations deemed vulnerable to public order disturbances, including busy
centers, office areas, and other community activity areas.

Chief, Banten Regional Police, AKBP Dr. Martua Raja Taripar Laut Silitonga,
S.H., S.IK., M.Si., through the Head of the Cilegon Police Intelligence Unit,
Inspector Riswan Wijaya, S.H., stated that this awareness campaign aims to
anticipate various community activities that could potentially disrupt security
and order in Cilegon City.

"The
implementation of this appeal is a preventative measure to prevent disturbances
to public order and security, and to encourage the public to always maintain
order and comply with applicable legal regulations," explained Inspector
Riswan Wijaya. Furthermore, Inspector Riswan emphasized that the Cilegon Police
continuously coordinate with community leaders, religious leaders, youth
leaders, and local government officials so that all community activities can be
communicated and coordinated with the police.

"We urge all
elements of society to coordinate with the police, both the local police and
the sub-district police, before undertaking any large-scale activities to avoid
potential security disturbances," he stressed.

By implementing
these security measures and appeals, the Cilegon Police hope to create a sense
of security and comfort for the community and raise collective awareness of the
importance of maintaining security and stability in the Cilegon City area.

The Cilegon
Police also encourage all levels of society to play an active role in
maintaining public order and security by reporting any potential security
