POLICE GOES TO SCHOOL PROGRAM TO PREVENT JUVENILE DELINQUENCY

As part of the Police Goes To School Program aimed at preventing juvenile delinquency within the jurisdiction of Cilegon Police Resort (Polres Cilegon), an educational and awareness-building activity was conducted at MA Al Khairiyah, located on Jl. Tegal Buntu, Ciwandan.

The activity was led by the Head of Operational Affairs of the Intelligence and Security Unit (KBO Satintelkam) of Polres Cilegon, IPTU Munif, who served as the ceremony inspector and keynote speaker. The overall person in charge of the activity was Chief of Cilegon Police, AKBP Dr. Martua Raja Taripar Laut Silitonga, S.H., S.I.K., M.Si.

During his address, IPTU Munif delivered security and public order (Kamtibmas) messages to all students, emphasizing the importance of maintaining discipline, complying with school regulations, respecting teachers and parents, and avoiding all forms of juvenile delinquency. He highlighted various negative behaviors that may adversely affect students' futures, including bullying, fighting, substance abuse, involvement in criminal activities, and other forms of misconduct.

Furthermore, students were encouraged to build and maintain effective communication with teachers, parents, and law enforcement officers whenever they encounter problems within the school environment or in their daily social interactions. He stressed that early communication and cooperation are essential in preventing conflicts and ensuring a safe and supportive educational atmosphere.

The Police Goes To School Program serves as a manifestation of the strong synergy between Polres Cilegon and educational institutions in fostering positive character development among students. Through this initiative, the police aim to provide guidance, increase legal awareness, and prevent juvenile delinquency from an early age.

It is expected that activities such as this will contribute to the creation of a safe, orderly, and conducive environment for learning, while also supporting the maintenance of public security and order throughout the jurisdiction of Polres Cilegon.
